FMG – Solomon - Crushing Hubs 
Cimeco (Jan 2012- September 2012)

 

CRAIG Surveying were employed by Cimeco to provide surveying services for their crushing hub project at Solomon. The project involved constructing three iron ore crushing hubs from concrete foundations to the finished mechanical works. Specific surveying tasks included:

  • Volume calculations and analysis for earthworks
  • High precision boltsand concrete setout
  • Wall verticality and level checks
  • Bolt and pedestal asbuilt and reporting
  • Common services asbuilts
  • Computer modelling
  • Steel verticality checks and reporting

 FMG - Solomon - OPF Facilities 
 Cimeco (Feb 2012 – April 2013)


In conjunction with the Solomon crushing hubs, Cimeco was also awarded an additional contract to carry out civil concrete works for two iron ore processing facilities with a project cost in excess of 400 Million AUD. CRAIG Surveying was also part the Cimeco team for this.

There were some significant milestones with this project involving some of the largest structural pours in Western Australia. One of these being 2500m3 and containing more than 1500 bolts and void formers,requiring millimeter accuracy.

  • High precision bolt and concrete setout
  • Bolts and pedestal asbuilt and reporting

ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI - Tropicana - Primary crushing &Processing Facilities
Central Systems (August 2012– February 2013)

CRAIG Surveying were hired by Central systems to provide two fulltime surveyors for their gold processing facilities project in Tropicana. The project involved concrete installation, tunnel installation and large scale earthworks. Significant items include a primary crusher, conveyor tunnels, boremill, thickeners and overland conveyors. CRAIG Surveying provided the following services:

  • Asbuilt surveys and reporting
  • High accuracy concrete and bolt setout
  • Earthworks setout
  • Horizontal and vertical control installation
  • Wall verticality checks
  • Tunnel checks and alignment surveys

FMG- Solomon - Overland Conveyors
Central Systems (August 2012– February 2013)

CRAIG Surveying was hired by Central Systems for their overland conveyor project at Solomon in the Pilbara. The project involved the construction of 3 overland conveyors which were 3.6km, 1.2km and 1.0km in length. Key surveying components included the laying of concrete footings, structural surveys (conveyor modules, trestles, gantries, impact tables, drive stations and take-up cart) and mechanical surveys (pulleys, motors and Idlers).

CRAIG Surveying also provided following services:

ALKANE RESOURCES LTD- Tomingley - Gold Processing facilities 
(May 2013– September 2013)

CRAIG Surveying were awarded the sub contract to provide surveying services to Central Systems for their gold processing facilities project in Tomingley NSW. The project involved all concrete installation with a construction cost of 5 million AUD. CRAIG Surveying provided a full time surveyor for the duration of the project. Construction included a primary crusher, thickener, reagent tanks, boremill and conveyor footings.

Surveying services included:

  • High accuracy concrete and bolt setout
  • Earthworks setout and volume reporting
  • Asbuilt surveys and reporting


ERNEST HENRY MINE - QLD - Underground Crusher Installation 
Centrals (July 2013– Feb 2014)

 

CRAIG Surveying were hired by Central Systems to provide a full time underground surveyor at the Earnest Henry Mine porject. The project involved the installation of a primary crusher 1.5km below the ground. The project also involved installing several conveyors and a refridgeration plant above ground.

Surveying tasks carried out included:

  • High accuracy concrete and bolt setout
  • Asbuilt surveys and reporting
  • Rock anchor setout
  • Horizontal and vertical control installation
  • Wall verticality checks


ROY HILL - Samsung - Railway Bridges and Guidebanks 
Centrals (Oct 2013– Present)
 

CRAIG Surveying are currently providing surveying services to Centrals System for their Railway Bridge Project loacted in the Pilbara. The project involves the construction of 11 railway bridges between Port Hedland and the Roy Hill Mine. These bridges range in length from 260m to 80m. Eight of which are river crossings consisting of concrete piers and steel gantries. The other three bridges are railway and haul road overpasses. The project involves three full time surveyors for on going earthworks, concrete and structural works. Surveying applications include

  • Earthworks setout and volume analysis
  • Piling and rock anchor Setout
  • Concrete and structural asbuilts.
  • Head stock and bearing plate alignment and setout 
  • Column setout and asbuilting.
  • Stress bar setout
  • Gantrie setout and asbuilts
  • GDP and borrow pit setout
